A Columbus boy attacked by a pit bull last week is back in the hospital.
Family members of 9-year old Nigiel Garland say his leg became infected after being sent home following the first surgery all that transpired on the same day he was attacked by a pit bull.
Nigiel was bitten by the dog while walking home from the store a week ago.
We're told the dog broke away from his leash in the front yard of his home.
Nigiel has undergone three surgeries now.
Hospital officials say Nigiel is in satisfactory condition.
Family members say they are hoping Nigiel will be going home soon.
