MACON, Ga. (AP) - A third woman has been arrested in the beating and stabbing of an Applebee's waitress who Georgia authorities say accidentally brushed against a customer's leg. Citing a McDonough police release, news outlets report 36-year-old Lakisha Boyd turned herself in Monday night. Police say the suspects assaulted the waitress July 10 after the accidental contact. The waitress was stabbed with a steak knife and her tips were stolen.

WOODBINE, Ga. (AP) - The defense attorney for a Georgia police officer charged with voluntary manslaughter in a fatal shooting says he's "not a danger" and deserves to be released from jail on bond. Zechariah Presley has been jailed since he was charged last month in the June 20 death of Tony Green. Presley's attorney, Adrienne Browning, asked a Camden County Magistrate Court judge Tuesday to reconsider his earlier decision to deny the officer bond.

MCDONOUGH, Ga. (AP) - A court document charge rapper T.I. with simple assault, public drunkenness and disorderly conduct following an altercation outside his Atlanta area home in May. News outlets report the charges stem from T.I.'s May 16 arrest outside his gated community in Stockbridge. T.I.'s attorney Steve Sadow told news outlets the accusation was "baseless, ill-founded and unjustified."

ATLANTA (AP) - A Georgia paraplegic man is accused of assaulting at least two exotic dancers. Police told WSB-TV that 31-year-old Johnnie Thompson paid exotic dancers to perform in his Decatur home last week. After one woman refused his sexual advances, police said he shocked her with a stun gun and restrained her with zip ties. When she fought back, he fired a handgun at her twice.
