FORT BENNING, GA (WTVM) - A ceremony was held at the National Infantry Museum for its newest monument.
Vietnam veterans gathered for the unveiling of the Second Infantry Regiment monument.
Guest speakers spoke with veterans about the history of the regiment which was formed more than 200 years ago.
The regiment fought in major battles and suffered heavy losses in Vietnam.
"Taps" was played, and a wreath was placed to remember fallen soldiers.
The monument is located at the Walk of Honor located behind the National Infantry Museum.
