UPDATE: CPD names suspect in 17th Ave. murder investigation

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - The Muscogee County Coroner's office confirmed they were called to the scene of a murder on 17th Avenue late Saturday evening. 

The coroner's office says the murder took place at 406 17th Ave., and is the 12th homicide of the year in Columbus. 

The coroner's office has identified the victim as Kenneth Holloway, Jr., 25, who was shot once in the chest. He was pronounced dead at 10:45 p.m. on Saturday. 

The investigation by the Columbus Police Department has led to a warrant being issued for Torrance Terrell Menefee for murder.
