EUFAULA, AL (WTVM) – A young man who found  a missing woman in Eufaula is now speaking out.

Carter Oldknow, 19, was walking by the road in Lee County, AL and saw 22-year-old Keyanna Dennis trapped inside her car, down in a ditch.

Relatives told police Dennis had been missing since Tuesday, June 14.

“I was talking to my mom on the phone. I looked over to my left and there's a shirt on fire, on the roof of a car. The lady down there was asking for help,” Oldknow said.

"Once I see her, I see..I asked her if she was okay and if she stayed calm. Help was on the way now. And then I called 911,” he continued.

Before finding her in that ditch, police said Dennis was last seen leaving her job at the Kia plant in West Point, GA.

Oldknow says Dennis' family has thanked him for finding Keyanna.

She is scheduled to have three surgeries for injuries sustained when her car left the roadway and crashed into an embankment off of the roadway. Dennis is being treated at Midtown medical Center with several broken bones including her jawbone and rib.
