COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - One of the men accused in a deadly shooting plead not guilty in court Monday, according to defense attorney Jennifer Curry.
Jacquawn Clark is accused for the murder of 24-year-old Demonde Dicks.
Dicks was shot and killed Wednesday at Double Churches Park.
Clark was arrested two days later, but Columbus police are still searching for 25-year-old Derain Waller.
Dicks' family say they are relieved that one of the people is off the streets.
"There's actually someone that's going to pay or hopefully have justice for doing what they've done. That helps the family get through even more trying times," said Jaala Brown, Dicks' aunt.
Clark's case is bound over to superior court. Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Waller is asked to contact Columbus police immediately at (706) 225-4453 or (706) 653-3400.
