COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – A woman has been charged following a series of incidents that left Manchester Expressway temporarily blocked early Tuesday morning.

Columbus Police say trees and bushes scattered the road after a car hit the Krystal's near the Peachtree Mall. The driver, later identified as Elizabeth Pritchett, went on the expressway, and a short time later, hit and damaged several cars in a parking lot off of Saint Francis Avenue.

Pritchett was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. No one else was injured in the accident.

She was later charged with numerous counts, including failure to maintain lane, failure to obey traffic, striking a fixed object, no proof of insurance, no seat beat and failure to give a signal.
