COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - The Red Lobster on 13th Street in Columbus had its 45th birthday on Wednesday.
There was a small reception there, with cake for everyone to enjoy. The restaurant also honored six specific employees who have worked at that location for more than 20 years.
"One year is amazing, but 45 years is because of the community we live in. We are very fortunate and we're very happy. Our business is always picking up every day so we're doing really wonderful with that," said Red Lobster service manager Johnny Wells.
News Leader 9's Chuck Leonard and Elisabeth D'Amore were in attendance to help celebrate the occasion, even bringing back some of those famous Cheddar Bay biscuits to our newsroom.
Also Wednesday night, customers and employees at the 13th street Red Lobster shared stories and experiences about the location.
