Auburn police arrest 3 people for burglary

AUBURN, AL (WTVM) – The Auburn Police Division arrested several people on warrants for burglary in the first-degree and theft of property in the fourth-degree.

Jimmy Vickerstaff, 39, from Auburn, Brandon Hughley, 22 and Shaiwun Hugley, 20 were all arrested on Thursday.

These arrests stem from Auburn police responding to a call of a burglary that had just happened in the 500 block of Perry Street around 2 a.m.

Responding officers were given the description of a vehicle and three suspects, one of which was armed with a handgun. Around $500 worth of electronics and clothing were stolen.

The suspect vehicle was located in the area occupied by Vickerstaff, Brandon Hughley and Shaiwun Hughley. All three suspects were identified as being involved in the burglary and were taken into custody and charged with burglary in the first-degree and theft of property in the fourth-degree.

They were all transported to the Lee County Jail and each of them will be eligible for a $26,000 bond.
