COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – The Annual Convention of Jehovah's Witnesses is being held at the Columbus Civic Center this weekend and next.

Nearly 10,000 people are expected to descend on the fountain city making a significant economic impact on the city. Organizers say this year's theme is "Remain Loyal to Jehovah."

Don Clark, with the Convention of Jehovah’s Witnesses says, "We want to help people in the area know about our God Jehovah, and the importance of looking to him for direction. The convention is free, everyone is invited to come and attend, and it will help one see the importance of serving God."

The conventions will examine the life of Jesus and how anyone— regardless of their background, lifestyle, or religion can benefit from his teachings.
