Auburn police arrest suspect in Swann's Mobile Home murder investigation

AUBURN, AL (WTVM) - The suspect in a shooting death from over the weekend is now in police custody.

Auburn Police arrested Kennedy Lee Harris, 44, from Auburn on a felony warrant charging him with manslaughter on Tuesday.  

The arrest is the result of an investigation into the shooting death of David Green, 46, of Opelika, at Swann’s Mobile Home Park on Saturday, July 2.   

An investigation by Auburn Police revealed that Harris, who is an acquaintance of Green, shot him during an altercation at a residence in Swann’s Mobile Home Park.  

Green was transported to EAMC and was later pronounced dead.  

Harris turned himself in to detectives and was taken into custody. The case remains under investigation by Auburn Police and no other arrest are anticipated.

Harris was transported to the Lee County Detention Facility and is being held on a $25,000 bond.
