The tremendous outpouring of support continues for a Harris County deputy shot and injured in the line of duty in May.

Friends and Colleagues of Deputy Jamie White held a raffle drawing at Hunter's Pub in Hamilton Wednesday night to raise money for Deputy White and his family.

Law enforcement from other counties also came out to show their support, including Russell County Sheriff Heath Taylor and District Attorney Kenneth Davis.
"He's a brother. He's asked me several times that you know this is above and beyond and I told him Jamie you'd do the same if it was me and I know he would," said Sgt. Marc Hordon with the Harris County Sheriff's Department.

"For people to get out and support their public safety by supporting Jamie it really gives people an opportunity to support all public safety," said Harris County Sheriff Mike Jolley.

Deputy White was shot during a traffic stop on interstate 185 back in May. Raffled items included fishing trips, autographed baseballs and a signed football from the Atlanta Falcons.

The event was put together by law enforcement from three different counties. They are also selling t-shirts with the proceeds benefiting the Jamie White fund.
