(WTVM) - It's time to break out the spots and cow bells for Chick-fil-A's annual Cow Appreciation Day Event!
Customers who dress in any type of cow attire on Tuesday, July 12 will be rewarded with a free entree of their choice such as an Original Chicken Sandwich, Grilled Chicken Cool Wrap or Chick-fil-A Chicken Biscuit.
The celebration started at opening and lasts until 7 p.m.
Haley Henderson, the marketing director for the Chick-fil-A on Wyntonn Road, tells us this event is a way to reach out to the community.
"It is Cow Appreciation!" Henderson said. "No matter what we are celebrating the cow – the customers just add the extra influence. We love to involve out community in whatever we're doing and so by having a day where the customer can come celebrate with us and be a part of the celebration."
Chick-fil-A first introduced the cow campaign in 1995 as a three-dimensional billboard concept depicting a black-and-white cow sitting atop the back of another cow painting the words "Eat Mor Chikin" on the billboard.
If you go dressed as the beloved bovines, send your photos to email@example.com and we'll make a slideshow!
