AUBURN, AL (WTVM) – Auburn police arrested a man on felony warrants charging him with burglary in the first-degree, robbery in the first-degree and hindering prosecution in the first-degree on Thursday, July 14.
The arrest stems from an investigation by Auburn police into a robbery that was reported on Monday, July 11 around 11:30 a.m. at a residence in the 700 block of W. Glenn Avenue.
Officers responded after receiving a call about someone illegally entering the residence, while it was occupied; robbing the tenant at gun point and fleeing.
Officers were provided a description of the suspect and the vehicle, no property was taken and no injuries were reported.
An investigation into the incident resulted in a 16-year-old male juvenile being developed as the suspect. Warrants were obtained for his arrest and he was located the following day, on July 12 and taken into custody and charged with robbery in the first- degree and burglary in the first-degree.
Further investigation revealed that a second suspect, 20-year-old Tequan C. Webb, was also involved in the robbery and arrest warrants were obtained. He was located and taken into custody with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force.
Webb was transported to the Lee County Jail where he will be eligible for a $128,000 bond.
