COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - TSYS and the city of Columbus hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony for the Mott House Terrace and 14th Street Plaza.
The ceremony took place Friday, July 15 at 10:30 a.m. at the site of the former Mott House, adjacent to the Columbus Riverwalk near the new 14th Street roundabout.
Bill Pruett, senior executive vice president, TSYS, and president of the company's North America services segment, and other TSYS executives, along with Columbus Mayor Teresa Tomlinson and other local officials, will host the ceremony.
This outdoor space is designed to memorialize the historic Mott House that was destroyed by fire in September 2014 in the midst of a comprehensive renovation process.
A short ceremony officially opened the Mott House Terrace, which is the portion of the memorial on TSYS property that will be used for future TSYS activities.
The 14th Street Plaza is part of the Columbus Riverwalk, which is open to the public.
