BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) -

The City of Birmingham is preparing for an influx of visitors this weekend.

Happening Saturday and Sunday is the World Deer Expo. It's the largest three day deer hunting expo in the world. Around 70,000 people are expected to be at the BJCC to see the more than 500 vendors at this event.

"Deer season is about to open up and there is nowhere in the world that you can go to one place and find everything there is to do with deer hunting except right here at the BJCC this weekend," said Bob Coker.

Also happening is Sloss Fest. The two day arts and music festival will be held at the historic Sloss Furnace. Dozens of local and national bands will be taking the stage to entertain the crowds. Plenty of food, drinks, and of course air conditioning will be available.

"The genres of music are wide ranging. We've got rock, we've got a little bit of hip hop, indie rock, we've got some acoustic stuff. So if you like good music, there's going to be something here for you," said Jay Wilson.

Finally, Deontay Wilder is squaring off against Chris Arreola for the WBC heavyweight title on Saturday at the BJCC.
