PHENIX CITY, AL (WTVM) - The Russell County Coroner has confirmed that one person has died after an apartment shooting Saturday night.
Phenix City police responded to the scene on the 1000 block of 16th Street in Phenix City at about 11:35 p.m. on Saturday.
Investigation into the incident revealed the shooting resulted from a robbery and assault.
One of the robbery suspects, Trevelle Bradley Williams, 23, of Columbus was transported to Columbus Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. His body will be sent to the state crime lab for an autopsy.
The second robbery suspect Keshaun Aaron Goodine of Phenix City was also transported to Columbus Medical Center, treated for a gunshot to the abdomen, released and is currently in Muscogee County Jail on a murder warrant and two robbery warrants.
Extradition to Alabama is pending.
One of the victims sustained a laceration to his right upper back area from a gunshot and his brother sustained a laceration to his forehead, along with additional injuries to his facial area after being struck with a pistol.
Both brothers were treated at Columbus Medical Center and released. A third victim was treated and released at Jack Houghston Hospital in Phenix City for a gunshot wound to his left knee.
