COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

A bond hearing is scheduled for a military man accused of murdering his neighbor and friend Alcides Washington on Stone Creek Court in May.

Timothy Tarr pled not guilty to murder and aggravated assault.

Police say Washington was shooting paintball targets in Tarr's backyard.

Tarr asked Washington to stop multiple times, then Tarr allegedly removed his pistol from his holster and shot Washington in the right eye.

Tarr's attorney says the shooting was accidental and doesn't agree with the murder charge.

His bond hearing is scheduled for Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Government Center.
