COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – The Metro Narcotics Task Force says they arrested 16 people between two houses and seized a large number of drugs.
On July 14, the Metro Narcotics Task Force conducted two search warrants on two houses in the area of 2nd Avenue and 44th Street in Columbus.
These search warrants were part of a months-long investigation by the Task Force involving several houses and people.
In all, 16 people were arrested under 46 charges, with 10 citations given.
Law enforcement continues to search for one suspect related to this bust, Jerry Thomas Beckwith.
The results of the investigation seized meth, marijuana, ecstasy, and several prescription pills - Hydrocodone, Morphine, Methadone to name a few - were seized during this investigation.
A total weight of all drugs has not been determined at this time, but during the last search warrant, 513 grams of meth was seized with a street value of $51,300.
Along with 81.6 grams of marijuana with a street value of $816.00.
