Auburn man arrested in connection to May 5 robbery

AUBURN, AL (WTVM) - An Auburn man has been arrested in connection to a robbery that took place in May.

On Wednesday, July 20 the Auburn Police Division arrested Brandon J. Williams, 31, on a felony warrant charging him with first degree robbery.

The arrest is the result of an investigation into a report of a robbery that occurred on May 5 in the parking lot of a business located in the 200 Block of Teague Court.

Officers responding to the call were given the description of a suspect that robbed a 24-year-old male at gunpoint near his vehicle.

The victim was not injured and the suspect fled on foot after taking an undetermined amount of cash.

An investigation into the incident by Auburn Police resulted in Williams being developed as a suspect; he was positively identified as the person that committed the robbery.

Warrants for his arrest were obtained and he was subsequently located by officers and taken into custody.

Williams was transported to the Lee County Jail where he will be eligible for a $100,000 bond.
