COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Single moms in Columbus joined forces to talk about how they go about raising their children.
The first ever All-White Single Mother's Brunch took place Saturday morning at the Gallery at Fountain Park.
Participants took part in networking and empowerment sessions. Kirsten King organized the brunch and says her experience as a single mother of two is why she put it together.
"I wanted to have this event for single mothers to come together and to be empowered and meet other women like themselves that may enjoy some of their struggles that they endure, they just may need a little push just to overcome some of the obstacles that single mothers may face," said King
King says she hopes to organize more events like this one in the future.
