COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Parents and school officials looking to review and revise the Comprehensive LEA Improvement Plan held a meeting at the Columbus Public Library on Tuesday.
Topics discussed include meeting the needs of migrant children and improving teacher quality.
Tim Smith with the Muscogee County School District says it's important to show parents the plan the district has for its students.
"As educators we sometimes think with the educational lens," Smith said. "We forget to think as a parent, so it's good to get a parent's input on the direction we are heading and how we are supporting the students."
The plan they are looking at shows how government funding is being used to improve student achievement.
