COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – On Thursday, July 28 all Dairy Queen locations in the area will celebrate its ninth annual Miracle Treat Day.
During this event proceeds from every Blizzard sold that day will go towards the Children's Miracle Network at Midtown Medical Center.
The following Dairy Queens will be participating in the area:
- DQ Grill & Chill Restaurant located at 3580 Macon Rd.
- DQ Grill & Chill Restaurant located at 6605 Whittlesey Blvd.
- DQ Grill & Chill Restaurant located at 2019 Pepperell Parkway; Opelika, AL
Dairy Queen will serve up a variety of Blizzard treats during Miracle Treat Day. Katelyn Pawlowski, Miss Harris County, Caroline Rozycki, Miss Presidential Pathways, and KeLeigh Edwards, Miss Phenix City as well as Boomer of the Columbus Cottonmouths will be serving up Blizzards at the Macon Road location from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m.
They will then travel to the Children's Hospital at Midtown Medical Center to deliver blizzards to pediatric patients.
Dairy Queen has been a supporter of CMN since 1984, raising more than $70 million for critically ill and injured children during that time.
The Children's Miracle Network at Midtown Medical Center was established in 1995. Since then, it has raised more than $7 million.
Every dollar raised by Children's Miracle Network at Midtown Medical Center stays in the community to help children treated at Midtown Medical Center. Midtown Medical Center is one of 170 Children's Miracle Network hospitals in North America and only one of six hospitals in Georgia.
