AUBURN, AL (WTVM) - Auburn fans, you can now soak in all the excitement from more AU athletic events on even more radio stations, across the southeast and locally as well.
The new 2016-2017 lineup began when FOX Sports entered into a 10-year contract worth $120 million with Auburn Athletics for multimedia rights.
The FOX Sports contract with AU Athletics went into effect July 1.
The 54-station network spans seven states – Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Mississippi, Arkansas and South Carolina.
Locally, Fox Sports signed a 3-year deal with Tiger Communications for an undisclosed amount of money.
WTGC will be the official Lee County station of Auburn Athletics, and with two more FM station, fans of women's basketball and softball will be pleased with their coverage.
"You can hear us at Lake Martin, Montgomery, Troy, Columbus, it is important for them to be able to listen to football, or men's basketball and baseball, but now women's basketball and softball also appear on these stations, more fans that ever can tune in to those sports as well," explained Rod Bramblett, the Voice of the Auburn Tigers.
Auburn fans will also be able to access the broadcasts almost anywhere - including internationally - with exclusive TuneIn app, SiriusXM, AuburnTigers.com, and the new Auburn Gameday App - available for free download later this month.
With AU football right around the corner, you can log onto auburntigers.com to download all of those apps for free. You can also check and see where you can hear Rod and Stan on the radio station in your area.
Tiger Communications, Inc. is the new "official" Lee County affiliate with WTGZ 93.9 FM anchoring the coverage with a 25,000-watt signal that covers all of Lee County and reaches a total of a half-million listeners.
WQSI 95.9 FM, WQNR 99.9 FM, and WAUD 1230 AM will also carry games when there are multiple Auburn broadcasts at the same time.
Tiger Communications, Inc. will be the home in Lee County for Auburn University football, men's and women's basketball, baseball, softball, Tiger Talk and the Coach Flo Show.
