COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – The second Black Columbus Rodeo has been canceled due to a lack of advanced ticket sales, according to Robin Wallace with the Columbus Civic Center.
The event was scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 20.
"This is the 2nd year in a row, that we came to Columbus with The Black Rodeo," rodeo promoter Walter Hull said. "The crowd enjoyed it tremendously last year and we were excited about coming back. These rodeos are expensive productions, and I am having a tough decision to make. This is a business decision. Hopefully, we can try again sometime in the near future."
For those that did purchase tickets, refunds may be obtained at the point of purchase.
Tickets purchased at the Columbus Civic Center Box Office via credit card can be issued a refund starting Wednesday.
Cash refunds will be available this Friday, Aug. 19 at 10 a.m.
