Sen. David Perdue addresses leadership forum in Columbus

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – U.S. Senator David Perdue addressed the Jim Blanchard Leadership forum on Friday morning.

Perdue (R-GA) is kicking off a tour through Georgia where he will provide an update on what he's doing in our nation's capital.

Perdue spoke at the forum Friday inside the Blanchard Hall at the Cunningham Center at Columbus State University.

"I'd like to talk about the differences I see in Washington when it comes to leadership or the lack thereof," Sen. Perdue said. "The second thing I want to do is just give you an update because it's ugly and I think we need to talk about it because it effects communities like Columbus."

During the tour, Sen. Perdue is providing an update on his work to advance Georgia's priorities in the U.S. Senate and break through the gridlock in Washington, DC.

"We could set the next 50 years up economically, politically, socially, and militarily," Sen. Perdue said. "The world would be a better place and our kids would have a future."
