COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – It was a celebration service filled with love, laughter, and spirited memories of the beloved theater director Ron Anderson.
The celebration of life event happened at the Springer Opera House on Saturday afternoon.
Anderson, 64, passed away at Columbus Hospice on Aug. 24 following a battle with pancreatic cancer.
He is a graduate of the University of Georgia where he met and later married his beloved wife, Debbie Pritchett Anderson, on Aug. 19, 1978. Ron was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church.
Per Anderson's obituary, he is survived by his wife, Debbie and his son, Max P. Anderson. Ron is also survived by a brother, Mark Anderson (Marsie), and sister, Jan Hollingsworth (Wendell), nieces and nephews, Richard Anderson (Donna), Leslie Anderson, Kevin Anderson (Taavi Yusuf), Amy Hollingsworth, Dawn Garris (Noah), and Jason Hollingsworth (Jigna), Great nephews, Rilan and Marshall, Great Niece, Bayley and by his cats, Shadow and Smokey.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Springer Opera House, the Special Fund for Ron Anderson at Columbus Bank and Trust, or St. Thomas Episcopal Church.
