COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - The final two suspects in the Deonn Carter case made their first appearance in Recorder's Court Saturday morning.
Major Gil Slouchick says Quamaine Thomas, 18, was arrested without incident at 1 p.m. on Thursday.
Thomas was taken into custody at a house on Doyle Avenue after police received a tip that he was inside that home.
Tauron Stepney was also arrested on Thursday and booked into the Muscogee County Jail.
Thomas is being held in the Muscogee County Jail on murder charges; Stepney is being charged with murder and three counts of burglary.
Both Thomas and Stepney will have a preliminary hearing on Thursday, Sept. 8 at 9 a.m.
On Friday, Aug. 26 police issued murder warrants for Thomas, Stepney and three other suspects in the shooting of Carter on Aug. 9 during a robbery outside his apartment on Aug. 9 and died unexpectedly 11 days later.
