COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – The man accused of shooting and killing his neighbor in late May was awarded bond on Friday.
In a hearing, Timothy Tarr was given a bond totaling $251,500 on seven counts, including two counts of murder.
Timothy Edward Tarr is accused of shooting Alcides Washington, 33, at his home on Stone Creek Court on May 24. Police say Washington was shooting paintball targets in Tarr's backyard, and Tarr says he asked Washington to stop shooting at him home.
Tarr asked Washington to stop multiple times, then Tarr allegedly removed his pistol from his holster and shot Washington in the right eye.
Tarr pled not guilty to murder and aggravated assault.
Tarr's attorney, Jennifer Curry, says the shooting was accidental and doesn't agree with the murder charge.
