(WTVM) - Olive Garden restaurants in Muscogee County delivered lunch to fire and police departments as a way to say thanks for your service in the community.
It's the fifteenth year the restaurant chain has held this event.
We spoke to nurses working the night shift, who said they're grateful for the show of support and generosity from others in the community.
"It's wonderful," said Kelly McNany, RN at St. Francis Hospital. "A lot of times, night shift doesn't get surprises like this and so when she showed up tonight, it was a big shock and surprise, and all the staff on labor, delivery and ER are very ecstatic."
More than 800 Olive Garden restaurants nationwide delivered and served their local first responders by bringing their signature fare, including breadsticks, salad and plenty of pasta for the nurses and first responders at work.
