BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

What would an LSU football season be without a little quarterback drama?

Head coach Les Miles declined to name a starting quarterback for Saturday's home contest against Mississippi State during his weekly press luncheon Monday. He said he would need to address his team on the subject first, if he names a starter at all.

Miles was hit with numerous questions concerning who will start next behind center, but provided no real information, saying LSU will need both quarterbacks to be successful this season.

Incumbent Brandon Harris has gotten off to rough start this year and was replaced by Danny Etling early in the second quarter of LSU's 34-13 win over Jacksonville State Saturday.

Etling proceeded to lead the Tigers to three straight touchdown drives and hit 6 of his first 8 passes for 100 yards, including a 46-yard touchdown strike to tight end DeSean Smith. Etling also had a touchdown run in the second half.

Miles has also pointed out Etling and LSU weren't perfect, throwing an interception and also suffering a fumble when being blindsided on a sack.

LSU and Mississippi State will kickoff at 6 p.m. and the contest will be televised by ESPN2. Fans are encouraged to wear gold.
