(WTVM) - Probate Judge Bill English says Joe Lovvorn received 51 percent of the votes and is the projected winner of House District 79.
Sandy Toomer got more than 26 percent of the vote, while the rest of the voters chose either Brett Smith or Jay Conner.
Lovvorn does not face any Democratic opposition in the General Election on Nov. 29, but a write-in candidacy could occur.
We are told 21- year old Auburn Economics Student Gage Fenwick is trying to get necessary signatures to run on the ballot as the Libertarian candidate.
We're also told there were 4,008 votes total.
This is a developing story. Stay tuned for more details.
