COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

Changing Oil and Changing Lives was the title of a campaign hosted by Tire Engineer shops in the Columbus area.

All oil change proceeds will go toward the Columbus chapter of the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Money raised will go directly toward finding research breakthroughs for diseases like muscular dystrophy or ALS.

A ten-minute oil change will help provide early diagnosis, highly specialized care and access to clinical trials to families affected by these various diseases.

One employee spoke with us about working for such a good cause.

“It's good to work for a place that cares about other people,” said service manager Josh Pfieffer. “Being able to give back to the community has its perks. Makes you proud to be worker there with everybody giving back.”

Pfieffer says the company has charitable customers.

Columbus Tire Engineers also hosts drives monthly to other charities such as Wounded Warriors.
