OPELIKA, AL (WTVM) - A man says he does not know the person who allegedly shot him on Thursday, according to the Opelika Police Department.
Police say at approximately 9:30 p.m., officers responded to the 600 block of Edmon Avenue and found a 23-year-old man who had been shot.
The victim was flown to Midtown Medical Center in Columbus to receive treatment for his injuries and is expected to be OK. The victim claimed he did not know who shot him.
A second person received a minor injury during the incident that did not require medical attention.
There are no further details at this time as the investigation is just beginning, police said.
