COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - A Columbus man who tried to cash a forged check allegedly tried to grab a Columbus police officer's stun gun during his arrest, according to an arrest report.
Keiaire Walker, 20, of Columbus, was arrested at the CB&T location at 1000 Veterans Parkway on Thursday for allegedly trying to cash a forged check work $1,296.22.
When police attempted to arrest him for this offense, Walker allegedly resisted and fought five police officers, and attempted to grab to one of the officer's stun gun.
Officers had to use a stun gun and pepper spray Walker to subdue him, the report says.
Walker was charged with attempted weapon removal from a public officer, felony obstruction of a law enforcement officer, and fourth-degree forgery.
Walker will appear in recorder's court on Sept. 20.
