COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – The 2016-2017 Partners in Education held their kick-off conference in Columbus Friday morning.
Local schools with business and community organizations, along with military brigades, met at the Columbus Convention and Trade Center to talk about how to provide increased educational and enrichment opportunities for students and educators.
The message for the program was titled "Birth to Eight: Economic Asset or Liability?" People there learned how early childhood learning impacts the economy and how all types of local businesses can help.
Partners in Education is a program of the Greater Columbus Chamber of Commerce. WTVM is a partner in education with Shaw High School.
