Human remains found at Opelika mobile home park

OPELIKA, AL (WTVM) – Opelika Police are investigating a scene on the 1000 block of York Ave. where a body has been found.

The body was discovered around 4:45 Friday afternoon in the woods at Bennett Mobile Home Park by a young man looking for his dog.

It is not yet known if the remains are that of a male or female. They have been taken to the medical examiner’s office in Montgomery to try and determine the cause of death.
