HOGANSVILLE, GA (WTVM) - The FBI and the Hogansville Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying a bank robbery suspect.
According to an FBI press release, the suspect robbed the Community Bank and Trust, located at 410 East Main Street, in Hogansville on Monday.
The suspect entered the bank shortly after 4 p.m. and was holding a dark-colored, semi-automatic handgun in his right hand.
Witnesses said the suspect pointed the gun at bank employees, threatened them, and demanded money. Fearing for their lives, the FBI says, the employees turned over an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspect was observed prior to the robbery with a second man in a black SUV with chrome-spoked wheel wells.
The robber is described as a black male, 6'0" to 6'1" tall, thin build, 165 to 170 pounds, in his mid to late 40's. He was wearing dark-framed sunglasses, a dark-colored baseball cap, a blue and white-striped polo shirt, blue jeans and sneakers with light-colored laces.
