2016 trick-or-treat times in the Chattahoochee Valley

(WTVM) - Below is a list of local trick-or-treat times throughout the Chattahoochee Valley.


  • CPD advises that parents take their kids trick-or-treating between 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. on Monday.
Phenix City 

The Phenix City Police Department has recommended the observation date for Halloween be Monday, Oct. 31, from 5 - 8 p.m. along with the following recommendations for a safe evening of Halloween activities:

•    Remember to wear either a brightly lit costume or one that has reflective tape. 
•    Ensure that costume does not impair the child's ability to see or walk.
•    Small children should be accompanied by an adult while trick or treating. 
•    It is always a good idea to trick or treat within one's own neighborhood. 
•    Always inspect any treats that are received by your child prior to it being consumed.


Mayor Becky Chambers has announced trick-or-treat times for the city of Hamilton.

  • Monday, Oct. 31 from 5-8 p.m.


  • The city of Opelika has set their trick-or-treat times from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Oct. 31.


  • Monday, Oct. 31 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., the city of Auburn will be holding their 16th annual Downtown Trick or Treat event. For more information, click here.

West Point

  • The official trick-or-treat time for the city of West Point is 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 31. The West Point Police Department also posted these safety tips for the community.
