RUSSELL COUNTY, AL (WTVM) - One Russell County organization is lending a helping hand to veterans who may be in need over the fall and winter seasons.
Oath and Arms LEMC held their third annual vets clothing drive, better known as "Operation Warmer Nights."
This drive provides support to the homeless veteran community of central Alabama and the surrounding areas.
One organizer says they try to collect as many clothing items as possible.
"We try to do three clothes drives a year before our actual ride to try to collect as many clothes for the vets," said Carlos Soslano, sergeant of Oath and Arms Club.
Oath and Arms says they'll deliver clothes to veterans by bicycle.
