Organization to host 'Paint the Town Pink' in Columbus to benefit cancer patients

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – West Central Georgia Cancer Coalition will hold its 7th annual “Paint the Town Pink” walk/run for Breast Cancer Awareness on Friday, Oct. 21.

Registration begins at 4 p.m. and there will be a parade starting at 6 p.m. on the corner of 10th Street and Broadway. The Walk will begin at 7 p.m. at Woodruff Park.

Participants should wear pink and the cost is $30 before Oct. 14 and that includes a T-shirt and a pink glow item. The price will increase to $10 after Oct. 14, and 100 percent of the proceeds will benefit the WCGCC, an organization whose vision is to reduce the burdens of cancer in the community.
