COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Now’s your chance to help your favorite nonprofit by donating during a month-long initiative called Georgia Gives.

The initiative allows the community to donate to several nonprofit organizations across the state. Among many organizations participating is the National Infantry Museum in Columbus.

“The mission here at the museum is to honor soldiers, we do not charge admission here, we have to rely on donations to keep the doors open,” said Jane Bayer, Director of Development of the National Infantry Museum.

The museum is looking to raise $53,000 during Georgia Gives. The statewide initiative runs through Nov. 17.
