COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – The Columbus police officer who was shot Friday afternoon on Hilton Ave. has been identified, according to a police report.
Officer Joshua McQuien was shot by 34-year-old Daniel Ray Crisp Friday afternoon at a home on the 3300 block of Hilton Ave.
McQuien was wearing a bulletproof vest at the time and the bullet did not penetrate his body. He was sent to the hospital. He was later released and will make a full recovery.
McQuien posted to Facebook Saturday morning reflecting on the scary situation Friday afternoon.
