COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Detectives with the Columbus Police Department are asking for the public's help in locating a second suspect in the Sept. 17 shooting death of a cab driver.
Police say they've identified Devin Trashawn Durden as an additional suspect. Durden is described a standing 6' and weighing 144 pounds, with the following tattoos: "RIP Byrd," "Savage Life," and "RIP Cross."
Durden is known to hang out in the Forsyth Street, Fulton Avenue and Brown Avenue area of Columbus, and he should be considered armed and dangerous. CPD is asking anyone who knows where Durden is to contact 911 or Sgt. L. Deaton of the Homicide Unit at (706)-225-4267.
Dontavis Paige Screws, 20, was taken into custody without incident on Oct. 19 and charged with murder.
On Oct. 17 at approx. 5:50 a.m., the Columbus Police Department Patrol Units were called to the Parkwood Estates Mobile Home Park after a person was shot.
The victim was later identified as 50-year-old Dewayne Chronister.
