VALLEY, AL (WTVM) – An accident on Highway 29 claimed the life of a 24-year-old on Tuesday, Oct. 25 around 10:30 a.m.
The Valley Police Department responded to the one-vehicle accident in front of Valley High School and officers found the driver of the vehicle Tiffany Kate Wyrosdick with visible injuries.
Wyrosdick was taken by Valley EMS to a landing zone where she was met by the Life Saver helicopter and flown to the Atlanta Medical Center.
She was taken into surgery, but surgeons were unable to revive her and she died of her injuries.
Wyrosdick will be transported to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences for an autopsy.
A witness to the accident stated that he saw Ms.Wyrosdick's vehicle traveling south on Highway 29. He stated that the vehicle veered across the northbound lanes, left the roadway, and struck a concrete barrier.
At this time it is unknown what caused the accident. This is being investigated by the Valley Police Department and the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences.
