CPD searching for Weems Food Mart armed robbery suspects

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

Columbus police are searching for two suspects in a robbery shooting that occurred last month.

Police say a man in a black hoodie shot a store employee in both legs during an armed robbery on Saturday, Oct. 15 at the Weems Food Mart in the 3700 block of Weems Road.

Officials say he and the suspect in the black ski mask took an undisclosed amount of money, as well as the cash register.

The first suspect, the shooter, is a black male with a medium complexion. He stands between 5’5” to 5’7” tall and weighs between 130 to 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie with a tan camo-looking head cover, a black mouth cover, black pants, white socks and black tennis shoes.

The second suspect is also described as a black male with a medium complexion. He stands between 5’9” to 5’11” tall and weighs between 160 to 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black ski mask, a black T-shirt with a white long sleeve shirt underneath, blue/black and white gloves, black pants, white socks, black tennis shoes.

Both are considered to be armed and extremely dangerous.
