PHENIX CITY, AL (WTVM) – The Phenix City Police Department has released a photo of a vehicle that was last seen leaving Stadium Drive at a high rate of speed immediately after the shooting incident.

The vehicle was described as a late model dark blue Ford Expedition with gold or brown trim and a spare driver’s side rear wheel.  In total, three people were shot, including a 4-year-old child. The child and one of the adults have been treated and released from the hospital.

Anyone with information regarding this vehicle and occupants is asked to call the Phenix City Police Department at (334) 298-0611 and ask to speak with an investigator.

Meanwhile, the lockdown at Phenix City Intermediate School (PCIS) has been lifted. According to a lieutenant with the Phenix City Police Department, three people were shot in a duplex next to Amberwood Apartments next to Stadium Drive.

The school is no longer on lockdown, but they are still taking precaution.

"Phenix City Intermediate School is currently under lockdown all children are safe at this time," stated the message.

In a press release from PCPD, shots were fired at Amberwood Apartments, located at 2504 Stadium Drive, where three people were shot in an apparent drive-by. The victims were taken to the hospital and their conditions are unknown at this time.

The suspect's vehicle was described by witnesses as a blue SUV was traveling south on Stadium Drive.

Because of the close proximity to PCIS, the school was placed on lockdown by school officials. Once officials and law enforcement decided that the suspect's vehicle was no longer in the area, the lockdown was lifted.

No one at the school was injured.

More information may be released as information becomes available. Any information about this case should be directed to the Phenix City Police Department CID at (334)-448-2801 or (334)-448-2836.
