MUSCOGEE COUNTY, GA (WTVM) - The Georgia Repertory Theatre says they are partnering with the Muscogee County School District to encourage students to get involved.
All 29 Title I schools will participate in a new theatre partnership with the Springer Opera House.
This will make it possible for students to experience live theatre this year for free.
"This is a very big moment for arts in Columbus and particularly arts education," said Paul Pierce, producing artistic director.
There will be no cost to the students, no cost to the schools, and no cost to the Muscogee County School District.
The total value of the free theatre program to the Muscogee County School District is $76,200.
