COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – Columbus Regional Health is hosting Nurse Hiring Days at the Midtown Medical Center.
All of the areas of nursing such as critical care and women services were represented.
Those who attended got tours and interviews, and some candidates even left with job offers.
The hospital is looking for recent nursing graduates and experienced RN's.
Columbus Regional hopes to fill 61 nursing positions.
Cary Burcham, the assistant chief nursing officer with Columbus Regional Health explains the qualities a nurse needs to have.
"I am looking for nurses that care. Nurses that really want to do the right thing and patient care and patient safety is number one. That is what we all about."
If you missed Saturday's hiring event, there will be another one Saturday, Nov. 19 from 8am to 6pm. Walk-ins are welcome to attend.
