COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – The family of 13-year-old Montravious Thomas, who was badly injured in an alleged assault at Edgewood Student Services Center, is asking the public for financial assistance.

Thomas was injured on Sept. 12 and the man involved in the incident was reportedly Bryant Mosley, a behavioral specialist at AIM/Edgewood Student Services Center, located at 3835 Forrest Road.

Thomas was taken to Egleston Hospital in Atlanta and his injuries were so severe that his leg had to be amputated.

“Since this event, I have been unable to work. Medical bills are continuing to accrue daily,” Thomas’ mom stated on the GoFundMe page. “We are reaching out for help to pay for his medical expenses and help with the hardship this has caused my family.”
